Meet Michael Wahl
Financial Advisor – Owner
Michael is the founder of Cedar Grove Insurance and has been with Prudential Insurance Company of America since 2011. His career path began as a financial advisor, and then blossomed into a Property and Casualty practice: Cedar Grove Insurance. He realized that there is an ever-growing need for auto/home insurance rate reductions, as well as a lack of guidance concerning coverages. This propelled him to develop a team of professionals who could guide their clients to the proper coverage with a great price. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southeastern Louisiana University. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, boating, hiking, and fishing.

Kimberly Cowans Curtis
Office and Operations Manager
Kimberly joined the Cedar Grove team in 2020 because of her passion for the customer service industry and drive to help others. She received her degree in Business Administration and a minor in Management and brings over 8 years of administration experience in Customer Service and Office Management. She prides herself on ensuring clients receive support related to their unique needs while also assisting team in the day-to-day operations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their fur baby.
Amanda Martinez
Client Service Associate
Amanda is a client-oriented individual who has spent the last ten years in customer service and management positions. Her time in those positions has helped her gain a wealth of knowledge and experience that she applies to helping her clients. Building relationships with her clients is important to her as it helps to ensure that they feel comfortable during the insurance process. Since she has started with Cedar Grove, she has found great pride in providing excellent customer service to her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities with her son or completing one the many home improvement projects she’s working on.
Tiffani Hooper
Client Service Associate
Tiffani was born and raised in Sunny San Diego, CA. She’s worked in customer service and management based jobs since she was 15 years old. With patience and natural problem solving skills, she loves nothing more than being able to help a customer and solve their problems/concerns. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her Husband Stephen, family and friends and traveling as much as possible.
Brandon Wahl
Property and Casualty Specialist
Brandon has been a part of the Cedar Grove team since 2017 and within that time he has consistently earned the Liberty Mutual Gold Award. Being one of the most tenure members on the team, he enjoys helping his teammates by sharing his knowledge and experience from this time at Cedar Grove. He also prides himself on his professionalism and dedication to assisting clients. When away from the office, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife, Katy, and their two kids while playing outdoors and keeping busy with soccer and swim team.
Matthew Garza
Property and Casualty Specialist
Matthew has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, with a concentration in finance. Matthew combines this knowledge, and skill set from working in the service industry for over 15 years to provide customers with an enjoyable and easy-going experience. During his tenure at Cedar Grove Insurance, Matthew has maintained Gold Member Award status. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys going on vacations with his family, fishing, and cooking.
Douglas Mcrae
Property and Casualty Specialist
Doug was born and raised in southern Louisiana. He is a Graduate of St. Paul’s School in Covington, LA. He spent many years in education including Franciscan University in Ohio studying theology and business management and Anne Arundel Culinary school in Maryland studying classic culinary arts. Doug is currently serving in the Army National Guard in a Military Police unit and is stationed at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans with over 10 years of service. Doug’s eclectic business background brings a lot of value to our clients by understanding their individual needs. Doug’s previous employment includes Wine Sales representative and General Manager for local restaurant chain. He and his wife, Suzannah live on the North shore with their 6 children. They are actively involved with their church and love to spend time traveling, being on the water and going to the beach.
John Montelepre
Property and Casualty Specialist
John is a happily married father of 5 and loves spending time with his kids and dog. He was born and raised in Louisiana and enjoys cooking and baking for his family, friends, and co-workers. Prior to working in insurance, John obtained a Master’s Degree in Communications with a Minor in Psychology and worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in the local school system. John is energetic and proactive with his clients and enjoys making sure they are well educated in understanding the coverages they are purchasing with their home and auto insurance. Since beginning his property and casualty sales career he has consistently earned the Liberty Mutual Gold Award and is one of the top producing sales associates for Liberty Mutual.
Daniel Wanner
Property and Casualty Specialist
DJ was born and raised in Madisonville, LA and now resides in Covington, LA with his wife, Kristen, and their three children. Prior to insurance, he worked in the automotive industry specializing in sales management, training and finance. This experience made him a great fit for Cedar Grove Insurance for his excellent ability to listen to the needs of his clients and provide the best solution. DJ has earned and continues to maintain the Liberty Mutual Gold Award status. When away from the office, DJ spends time with his family outdoors.
Luke Ordogne
Property and Casualty Specialist
Luke was born and raised in Morgan City, LA and has resided in Mandeville, LA with his wife, Adelaide, and their three children since 2016. He holds a degree in Philosophy from Ave Maria University and brings with him 10 years of sales experience. He has spent the majority of his career in the adult beverage industry. His past experience has uncovered a true passion for the “art of the sale” which he thoroughly enjoys mastering. When not working, Luke enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also finds time to enjoy tennis with friends on occasion when the humid Louisiana weather decides to cooperate.
